Just as everyone, I too, love Goa. Besides parties and alcohol, it is an amazing destination with some breath-taking views from different beaches. Every beach in the state is unique in some way or the other. Staying in a hotel, which is near the beach, is highly recommended.
If you are a beach lover, then you will never have enough of them. Right? Goa is highly popular amongst the beach lovers. It is also called the “Beach Paradise of India”. They get very crowded during the peak season and many adventure activities also take place.

1. Calangute Beach
This is the first beach you will go to if you are staying in North Goa. It is the most popular beach of the state stretching through a 7 km sweep of sand. It is a 15 km drive from Panaji. It is a highly crowded beach both in the peak season and off-season. It is also known as the “Queen of Beaches”. It is the longest beach in the district.
Things to do here include shopping of handicrafts, clothes, accessories etc. at the Calangute Market Square. You may also participate in some exciting water sports like surfing, parasailing, and water skiing.
2. Baga Beach
This beach is very near to the previously mentioned, Calangute Beach. The former starts where the latter ends. This beach is known for its lively nightlife. The party never stops here. If you are a party animal, then this place is for you. Trying water sports here is a must. Speed boating is a definite must try and so is the Bumpy Ride, where you sit on a tube tied to a boat which is dragged across the water by a speed boat. Many restaurants may arrange a romantic candle light dinner also for you in a silent area. Many resorts are next to this beach where you may stay during your vacation. This is one of the favorite hangout places for tourists.
3. Anjuna Beach
This beach is known for its swaying palms, soft sands, and natural beauty. It has an unusual rocky formation overlying a cove of white sand and black rock that juts into the Sea. Once, it was the home for hippies. But still, their legacy continues which is reflected in the things sold at the local market. You may find several souvenirs to take back home. Tourists from all over the world visit the shacks here to listen to psychedelic music. Try parasailing, amongst the water sports- this beach is famous for it. 4. Vagator Beach
This beach is famous for its dramatic red cliff. It is an amazing spot for photography. Mostly, western tourists visit here. They find it the most intriguing destination because of its terrain. If you love parties and are here to just chill, you ought not to miss this place. This beach is split into two large beaches by a strip of land. On this seaside headland, you can see parked cars, stalls selling souvenirs, and cloth shops. During the tourist season, this place is abuzz with activity. Trance music is played and the destination is packed with seekers of hedonistic pleasures. Hill Top is amongst the popular places for rave parties.
In case, you do not like parties, you may a spectacular sunset from here. Also, banana boating, Bumpy Rides, Ringo Rides are the water sports activities that you may try here. Not really a worry, however, the shoreline is rocky in South Vagator. In North Vagator, there are sections of the beach slope that are steep. Watch out for sunken anchors. 5. Sinquerim Beach

This is also one of the most beautiful beaches in the North Goa. The soft white sand at Candolim attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. It has a substantial number of restaurants which serve the yummiest food! A walk alongside the coast of the beach is a perfect way to calm your nerves and relax away from the usual stresses of work. Supersonic Festival is held at Candolim beach. You may enjoy it this year from 27th to 30th December. This is the beach which is least distant from Panaji. 7. Morgim Beach
This beach is blessed with its beautiful scenery and lush greenery. Villages near the beach have a very large Russian immigrant population. The area is also called as “Little Russia”. Visually enticing, this beach is the place where a traditional dance called ghoddemodni had originated. Chapora River elevates its appeal. This is beach is a perfect habitat for Olive Ridley sea turtles. But the beach is protected by the Government as the particular species is highly endangered. This beach acts as a host to different parties but mostly include Russians. If you’re looking for a beach shack, Bora Bora is the one. There are different bars in the area where you may go and chill.
8. Mandrem Beach
If you are looking for a silent getaway, this is the place for you. The serenity of this place is a romantic bliss. You will feel relaxed when you sit on the bamboo bridges and dip your feet in the water. Watching the sunset and do nothing are one of the things that this beach is famous for. It has very few shacks and is a good place to be if you want some peace. While the beach is picturesque, another attractive thing about this place is the food and cocktails at the shacks. 9. Arambol Beach
When you are here, a bohemian feeling is palpable. Adding to the charm of Arambol is a freshwater lake that is a stone’s throw away. Another attraction is the giant Banyan tree in the jungle valley. You might witness Gypsie-Fusion bands performing in an open-air ambiance at the beach. This is because Arambol thrives with a music scene like no other. People come here to participate in meditation and yoga classes as well. Blue Diamond Beach shack is one of the best shacks here to serve food and drinks. You can buy Goan food here as well. This beach is quite distant from Panaji, the capital city. While this beach is commercialized than many other beaches in Goa, a lot of hippies flock in Arambol. It was a fishermen beach in the past. 10. Ashvem Beach
